Eric has over twenty years’ experience in counselling and psychological services, covering substance abuse counselling, mental health counselling and general supportive counselling.
Background
Eric holds bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and German, and master’s degrees in Clinical Counselling / Addiction Studies and in International Studies, all from East Carolina University. He was a Fulbright Scholar at Albert-Ludwigs University in Freiburg, Germany.
He completed his PhD in Counseling Psychology at Assumption University in Bangkok, and has spent much of his career living and working abroad, with stints in Germany and Japan alongside the United States and Thailand.
Verify the credentials
Before you choose any therapist, ask for a link to their licensing board and check it yourself. If they won’t provide one, treat that as a warning sign. Bangkok has a wide range of practitioners, some highly qualified and some not, and we’ve seen credentials claimed here that don’t hold up.
